Literature Text

The lower halls are waterfalls,
They teem with fawn and fowl,
The shade of trees. the leafy halls,
Made by aging boughs.

The upper parts have goat and hart,
rivulets bold and blue.
The windy heights in bright sunlight,
Show far reaching views.

The upper floors are starry moors,
Where tops are cut by shroud.
The flowing breeze, that no one sees;
My ceiling’s made of cloud.
The inspiration for this came from the misty capped mountains of Guatemala
